The Grass On The Other Side Of The Fence
Is the grass always greener on the other side of the fence? I used to think so, then I hoped the fence a few times, and found out that the grass I was standing on first was much better.
Lately I've seen some pretty lush grass on the other side. I've known about the grass for awhile, I just never thought I would be sitting on the fence wanting to fall one way, and being pulled the other.
Why does there have to be grass on the other side? Why does there have to be a fence at all?

I suppose there have been times for all of us when we have encountered this same illusion. From experience Anne, I have learned that although the grass may be greener, it sometimes turns out to be johnson grass.
I for one have always thought the fence was put in front of us to make us think and make decisions. I guess my questions to you are, "Can you climb back over the fence if the grass on the other side makes you itch or ill?" "What do you have to lose and would it be worth it?" "Would you regret never crossing over the fence?" "Was the fence placed there in the first place to make you feel penned in?" "Do you know where the grass has been?" "Is there a snake in that grass?" Just some words for thought. You sound like a very bright woman who will make the right decision. Good luck. Please keep us informed. Great Blog!
The grass is on the other side to keep you from hitting your head on the concrete when you fall off the fence. The fence is there to give you something to fall from. This doesn't mean you can't make it off the fence in one piece. You just have to decide if you're going to fall off or climb off. Of course you could always stay on the fence but you might starve. I enjoy your blog. Keep writing.
Anonoymous, Blair, Mike--your right about the Johnson grass, Anao. I think if I hoped the fence I could climb back over without either side knowing. But I just can't do that. I may be sitting on the fence, but I still have firm morals.
And there could definitely be a snake in the grass on the other side of that fence...but I don't think he is poisonous.
I know which side of the fence I belong on, but the side with the snake is challenging and appealing.
